I cancelled my membership today, May 29th. My annual membership was due to be renewed in June.

My membership says clearly "no auto renew". When I cancelled today I was informed that the annual membership due was already in process - three days in advance and not at my request.

Even though the franchise are "independently owned" there was no one to talk to at the facility and I was told I would have to go to the corporate website - a website designed to prevent you from receiving meaningful help with billing.

The point is America - do not give your bank account information to any company for automatic payments. You lose all control and apparently all of your rights.

Reason of review: Order processing issue.

Monetary Loss: $30.

Preferred solution: Full refund.

Location: Elkton, Maryland

I have a question..I signed a year contract but only a year I did not sign for another year now how come they renewed it and took out $41.34 when I paid that when I first signed up a year ago. I only gave permission for you all to take money out of my account for 1 year not 2. Not a happy camper!

It's not a 1 year contract. It's a 1 year commitment.

After the year is up, it converts to a month to month membership where you can cancel anytime for Free. Memberships are Active until they are cancled. Read your agreement. The Annual fee does not occur when the year is up.

It occurs up to 4 months after sign-up. Every active member pays the annual. Again, it's not a renewal fee cuz there is no such thing. Let me add the cancellation deadline was May 25.

And again, it's charged within a few months after joining, not month 13. Read your agreement.

I'd like to see the clause, "no auto renew". The membership you probably have has a 12 commitment.

After that, it continues on a month to month basis where you can cancel without buyout (early cancel amount). What you are referring to is an Annual Fee and that date is fixed depending on when you join. It could occur with a few months of joining. There is NO renewal fee, or membership renewal unless it's a "paid in full" membership which HAS a TRUE expiration date.

This kind of membership expires and can only continue with a new agreement and at the request of the member. This type of membership NEVER auto-renews.
