For the past 3 months, due to a problem created by the person who signed me and my son up for a $19 membership and a $10 membership, my checking account has been billed a $10 late fee on both accounts. Therefore, I've been billed $50 per month because of a mistake that Planet Fitness made.

When I spoke out vehemently about what was going on, the manager at Planet Fitness on Memorial Drive in Stone Mountain GA threatened to cancel my membership. It was not an idle threat because I left my job and drove the short distance to the club and she was writing up the cancellation, saying that I was rude to her and rude to another person by the name of Crystal that works there. I was rude because of their utter incompetence but instead of solving the issue (and it's not resolved) she threatened to cancel my account.

Because the club is so close to my home and my son likes working out there - it gives him something to do - I literally begged the manager not to cancel my account. She didn't cancel it and had the gall to tell me that it was her "birthday today" (as if I really gave a ***).

Monetary Loss: $150.

Preferred solution: Full refund.

Was with them less than two months and theyโ€™ve managed to charge me over $120, stating they didnโ€™t have the right info to charge my bank account, yet they somehow managed to charge me a late fee plus the membership. My bank said this is a scam theyโ€™ve had going for a while now, because the bank keeps getting complaints.

I am getting a similar problem myself. Somehow, though I have been paying the $20 on autopay FOR OVER TWO YEARS, I now find that I have been charged late fees for the last several months - again, it has been on autopay!doing a planet fitness search on late fee I don't see anything (at least on the first page) except for this site.

It makes me wonder if this is just something that the Carson, CA Planet fitness branch has manufactured to make some $.

If so, shame on you Planet Fitness for allowing your branches to do this!Not going to pay this, will go down fighting if I have to. I definitely feel that I am being taken advantage of.

the $10 late fee is spelled out clearly in your agreement. ALSO, it's nationwide.

I've been a member over 2 years and a girl at the front counter recently found that I owe them $200.00 with the same reason. Yes, the location is at Carson, CA.

I told "the manager" whom I have never seen up until recent that I actually called its corporate office and confirmed that I don't owe anything."The manager" told me to pay $120.00 cash so that he would waive the balance. But I've never received a documented late fee policy and they've never informed me over 2 years, which is their fault.I paid a half amount, for I thought, it was my typo error of my bank account input on their tablet, but remember, we give them our 2nd payment method as a back-up. I'll go fight the manager and cancel my account now.

STAY AWAY from PLANET FITNESS. IT'S A SCAM!!

Omg. They have done the same to me for the past two years and said I must have had a typo online with my bank account ??? This may be a class action lawsuit?

I have experienced the same but in the victor NY location. I have had autopay on my account every month and was supposed to be $10 per month for my membership and just realized the past two years they have been taking out $25 each month!!!

I have spoken to a manager multiple times and no resolution. I also went in there and cancelled my membership and have proof and just got another $15 charge yesterday? And now have to drive back out there 35 miles away to provide proof yet again.

I have wasted gas, drive time, time out of my day, duress and money in overages. I am filing a law suit personally

I am currently being billed $15 every month for money being in my account and on time....LMBO....Really...Not funny though because these fees add up. I felt as if the general manager was giving me a bunch of bull telling me that it was my bank's fault for not unblocking my account.

One month I was charged like 54 dollars and some change for the yearly fee, and because I didn't know or understand that transaction, I told my bank to undo that charge. So they stopped the payment and planet fitness eventually charged me a late fee for the next month. Ok that was fine but what about the next month and the next? Then you say I may be on a Blacklist????What the *** is that?

I'm on a Blacklist but yet you take my money out of the account and still charge me a late fee? Doesnt make sense. The general manager Brianna was very laxy-dazy about when she was gonna get this resolved, if she was going to call me back when SHE HAS to call corporate first and that SHE was the only one to get this handled. She has yet to contact me.

What is really going on??? Can someone help me

the blacklist means that your Bank account recently had issues, perhaps it was frozen. The bank account must be in good standing, then ABC billing must be contacted you remove your account from this list, can take up to 3 days.

Ask PF for the ABC phone number. you can resolve this yourself, but you need to call.

Anyone who's having this same problem, or even the original poster, contact the Planet Fitness Corporate Office in New Hampshire. You will always get more accomplished/faster results when you contact the corporate office for any business.

Please explain the problem created by PF that caused your billing to not be charged for dues.

I do agreethat if you provided good billing and had enuf $$ in your account at the time of the draft (proven by bringing in a bank statement to show staff) that you should be refunded the service fees, or at least, have your billing frozen for a month probably 2 months as an additional apology.

But the PF error needs to be explained b4 you have my total support.

I didnโ€™t notice they were over charging my account until my husband saw and pointed it out, I was told they didnโ€™t have my account info so they charged me late fee, but somehow were able to charge the account days AFTER the due date. And yes the account info was correct because Iโ€™ve had the account for over 10 years and like I said they had the routing number, etc in the first place.

I think thatโ€™s what the person above was trying explain happened to them?

Itโ€™s a scam the entire company has been pulling, according to my bank, who went in and blocked them from taking even $1 from account, and I also made them print out paper stating I owe nothing and no longer have anything to do with the company. When I requested that the โ€œmanagerโ€ looked extremely scared.
