This has happened to me twice before today, those 2 times I went up to check where I was on the list and it all worked out. Today I sign in for tanning and make sure someone knows I did, as always.

The funny thing about today is 2 of the staff were standing right in front of the sign in sheet, making their own list that they follow, as one employee was training another on how to keep up with it and even corrected him in front of me and let him know he skipped a name on the sign in sheet by accident, so of course I jokingly said to them "hey I just signed in make sure you write my name down" and they acknowledged what I said. So I go sit to wait as I see there are 4 people or so in front of me. I wait and I wait and I listen when they call names....finally after at least 30 mins of waiting my friend gets done tanning so I walk up to tell them I don't have time and ask if somehow I missed them calling my name? I was NOT on their list!!!!!

I showed them where I signed in and was told that when they are busy like this I need to make sure someone knows I signed in!!! WHAT??? So I told him I did let 2 people know I signed in....told him I was tired of getting skipped and wish I didn't pay the $20 per month since I can never use the other benefits, he just shrugged his shoulders... Then I walk away to wait on my friend and see him tell the manager what happened and she turns to a customer and makes a remark as if she doesn't care!

I confront her on what she said and did she say I didn't sign in...and her response is "I don't do that anymore" and points at the tanning. Doesn't a manager do everything, doesn't a manager try to make things right? Really wanted to just quit the gym, still considering it...IDK very disappointed I guess in the way that went down.

Never expected that and I will spread the word...we will see what I decide but I have seen lots of complaints about the staff everywhere and makes me wonder why the corporate office thinks its so smart to allow each store to take care of itself there comes a time they need to control it and make things right. Obviously more supervision needed from corporate before the name gets too bad.

They probably won't ever respond to your complaint. Planet fitness is awful just in general so I'm sure you being skipped for tanning doesn't bother them a bit.

If you only go there to tan, find a tanning salon to go to instead.

If you go there to work out but like to tan as well, either find a different gym to go to entirely or.......you should probably just find another gym to go to. Didn't they just have some class action lawsuit filed against them in ohio for fraudulent charges to customers??

I would try again. Has it been better at the club, or more of the same.

Sometimes corporate will not respond to you but will contact the owner and general manger, district manager and brand excellence auditor.

I hate excuses, and I'm not trying to make any. I would apologize in paragraphs and it may not be accepted.

Wherever you go, don't expect perfection, but one should at least, expect decent service. But you are paying cut rate prices for tanning where, this time of year, lines can be long, and tempers can be triggered due to long waits, and of course, skipping, without reason, is the worst, but it happens.

The amenities sign-in procedure sounds like it needs some major tweaking, and YES, the manager does EVERYTHING. This is a definite foundation for a complaint on both counts.

Definitely submit it to corporate.

Corporate does take complaints seriously (or at least they did when I worked for PF.). Good luck and I hope this works out in your favor and in the favor of all Black Card members who have had similar frustrations.
