No contact via mail of phone from coporate
On Monday a receptionist from corporate contacted me as i had left a voicemail message. She said someone (area/general manager) would be contacting me.
That was Monday. Today is Friday, no call yet.
They are impossible to contact
I Have been a member of Planet Fitness in Lower Mills/ Mattapan for over a year. For over a year I have been trying to get the club to LOWER the music being placed there. It is just loud. It is over the top, ear damaging, migraine headache bring on loud. No one listens to it anyway. Other members wear/use their own (mp3 players w/earbuds) I've used earplugs of various types. I've asked workers at the desk to lower it, they say they cannot, that it is fixed on that level. That I would need to contact corporate. I tried to contact corporate via internet, that site redirects you back to the local site. In their list of frequently asked questions it even lists
-Can you turn down the music? (so it's OBVIOUSLY a problem that many have complained about)
The Answer
-Our music volume is monitored to ensure a comfortable and appropriate level. If you find the music is too loud, please speak to the front desk.
Which brings us back to square one. From questions of the simple to this one of health and safety

A company/site troll. I know who you ate
If it's too loud, then you're to old.
They probably did not contact you because your loud complaint was not warranted because of lack substance. I honestly don't understand how the club can function on high volume. I'm.feeling that you're too sensitive.
Well, what happened?

When you write that the volume damages ears, I'd say that it would be impossible to work they're, let alone workout there. Are you sure it isn't you just being too sensitive to volume?
I like to listen to my own music anyways, I usually can't stand what any place pipes through. Get a good headset and do the same.
Tune out the world. You get a really awesome workout when it's just you and your private fun.
... And checking out their Facebook, not one else is complaining.
I don't know why this (my issue with Planet Fitness) is a personal concern of yours. If you are ownership/management then contact me. Trying to discredit me via this website is terribly immature and reflects badly upon the company
I am not the poster you are commenting on, but I do want to point out to you that when you post on a public website that invites feedback from the public, you may well hear opposing views. If you don't like it, then don't post here. It is that simple.
Even with a headset you have to up the volume in your headset to EXTRA LOUD to drown out the LOUD exterior music. Meaning...
yes it is EAR DAMAGING.
I hope you are at least being paid to troll and make *** comments. Otherwise you have a visibly pathetic life mentally and socially.
If the music was THAT loud, staff would be unable to function, answer the phone, ask questions, sign ppl up, etc. But yes, when the volume is lowered ppl will start saying they can't hear it.
I mean, ear danaging loud? C'mon!
Let's say they lower it based on your request and other members ask for it to be put back at the original volume, because I promise you, that is exactly what would happen. What then?
-Because I promise you, that is exactly what would happen. What then?-
Really...
most MEMBERS, including I, bring their own players (which I pointed out in my original post) or ear plugs... yes EARPLUGS.
Of course, instead of demeaning and misdirecting my assertions, the professional and intelligent way of handling the situation is to take a survey of the members and STAFF there if you think I am, for lack of a better word, LYING, to you.
I 'promise' you at least 75% would answer 'Too Loud'
Why are you so defensive? What is wrong with you?
Is this how you behave at the gym? How can you promise anyone what 75% of the other gym members would say?
Have you personally conducted a poll? If 75% of all members wanted the music at a lower volume, a good portion would have already said something and the volume would have been lowered by now.
I've read other PF complaints and you appear to be the one who answers them all. But your demeanor is very abrasive.
Maybe a bit over the top. A complaint is only a complaint, not personal accusation.
Though often negative many times there is some validity to the what is causing the disagreement. God bless and be well
