Complaint about the planet fitness gym that I attend
I'm a senior and it seems that this club does not care for seniors. I've talked to the club manager about problems with the bathroom, the equipment several times.
He says they're updating everything but that has been going on for months.
These people just do not care. I've also emailed the company twice and not received anything back.

This manager AJ as picture shows below was the most disrespectful, unapologetic, unprofessional, incompetent manager I have ever met. He was personally making my son who went their to work out to better himself, making him very uncomfortable talking to him like he wasn't human, as well as when I came in their to speak with him calling me garbage and other words I will refrain from on here.
I will never ever!!
Come back to planet fitness because of people like him. He is truly inhumane, and I pray justice gets served because of his actions, thank you.

Hello, good afternoon. I'm contacting you because I want to file a complaint.
I signed up for the Planet Fitness gym (2530 Southport Way Ste A, National City, CA 91950). Specifically, this one. When I signed up, a gym employee helped me do it. He asked for my credit card, my full name, and took a photo.
He did it all through his tablet. At no point did I sign a contract. He just showed me what I could use from the gym, meaning the plan I was purchasing. On June 25, 2025, they charged me $49, and I went in person to complain because I hadn't even chosen to pay annually.
What I want to tell you is that the guy who helped me that day didn't give me the right information. He even told me that I would be charged every 17th of the month, and it was a lie, it was every first day of the month.
I don't think it's fair that they charged me that much. When I had other information, they did something else!

Me cobraron un cargo de 20$ supuestamente por qué mi cuenta no tenía dinero y en realidad si tenía , llamé al banco y rechace el cobro , como puede ver mi tarjeta está puesta y cobraron el mes y el banco lo rechazó y me están cobrando 20$ más más los 15$ mensual son 55$ dólares aún teniendo mi tarjeta entonces no sé qué hacer quiero cancelar mi membresía y me dicen que tengo que pagar todo

I allowed myself to be convinced to join again when the location (East Tennessee) was refurbished. The tanning beds are disgusting.
It took weeks before I did not have to redress and go steal paper towels and cleaner from another area. Its finally provided, but apparently members do not know how to use it. I attempted to use a lay down bed but there was a puddle of what appeared to be sweat along with butt prints in the bed. The bed turned on before I could finish cleaning it.
I started using only stand up beds following this. These are also gross. I have to clean before and after use. There is always an abundance of body hair on the floor.
Today there was a white substance in the glass which could not have been cleaner or lotion. I am definitely canceling again when this billing cycle ends. I cannot believe these conditions are allowed. Its rude and gross.
Please note I have videos and photos of the filth which I am happy to share. These were taken at approximately 1:15pm today 1-11-2025.

Never received a call back. My husband joined another gym that has no issue with his footwear due to his injury. We thought a disability would circumvent a store policy.
Complaint is being sent up the laddermy husband has legitimate foot disability. He can only wear clog type shoes.
Hes been wearing these clog shoes to the gym over 4 months. Today he was not granted access due to the sneaker policy. We explained about the disability. This was humiliating and felt discriminated.
We even offered to get doctors note. The make staff member was snippy and offered no solutions.
Btw my husband is a chef, the clogs he wears are saftey approved to wear in commercial kitchens. Actually much safer than a sneaker!

My cancellation of my contract was last year in October. You have no record of it, and I've been paying every month.
I didn't notice it until today, and it's not good that my revenue has been taken out.
I haven't been in the gym in 2 years, with no apology or any kind of refund. SMH.

My wife didn't want to take a photo at the time, and the whole staff team got aggressive. Then, as my wife walked away, the gentleman said, *** that *** I asked what his name was, and he said he wasn't giving me *** and started talking offensively to me, making threats. So we argued, and he tried to attack me.

You can't get it; they’re busy with their hair and face.
The manager, Hayden, said he canceled my membership for what? Over a cosmetic class instead of helping with working out.
