They are knowingly letting a person who strangled me, spit in my face , and physically assaulted me work theee when Ive been a fist there for 2 years. They all know his name is JUSTIN CALVO and him even being there goes against there code of ethics but no one there cares because hes a good employee, but hes also unpredictable, violent, and has been arrested at that same store in front of all the customers and they still have him his job back after that.

You charged me a monthly fee then an additional yearly fee AFTER I put frozen my account because I am a college student who cannot afford these expenses. I would never recommend this gym to anyone as the customer service doesnt seem to know what theyre doing.

I told a mexican kid he was not allowed to take pictures of himself in the locker room. It was against Planet Fitness policy.
He argued with me. I showed him a copy of the policy on my phone. He texts his father, who comes in the locker room intentionally bumps into me. They leave.
About 10 minutes later, I walked up to the counter and told the staff they needed to review their photo policy that I saw someone taking photos in the locker room, and I felt uncomfortable. The boy and his dad were waiting outside the front door to see me come up to the counter, and they walked in, starting a confrontation. He gets aggressive, and I said, call the police. The Police and staff did nothing.
Some ASM showed up, and he was clueless about the photo policy, and a woman took a photo of a transgender who got her membership revoked. He was clueless about the backlash of this, and many people have canceled their memberships, causing Planet Fitness to raise their membership fees by $5 a month.
I've uploaded Planet Fitness photo video policy they ignored.
This PF partners franchise gym is prejudiced to people who are not DEI. They either won't make eye contact and say hello when you check in or they look at you with an angry, disgusted glance and look the other way.

Preferred solution: Like to see people fired. The person who took his photo showed it to the staff incriminated himself proving he broke company policy and have his membership canceled.

Negligent employees
Im trying to contact my home gym (East Boston) for the past two days but on Friday at 2pm I talked to someone who said to wait for Robert that comes in at 3:30pm because they couldnt find my information on their system. I waited and called again at 8:53pm they only answered in Spanish on the first 2 calls said waitthen hung up then they just stopped picking up the phone (8:55, 8:56, 9:29pm).
On Saturday I tried again and they picked up listened didnt say anything then hung up (7:31pm) Then they stopped picking up the phone. I had questions about the fee they put on my account but at this point I want to deactivate my account, one I had since 2014 because I dont think Im wanted there anymore. Very rude never have I made a complaint before but Im already going through it and pf was where I can relieve stress but this just created more stress. I dont even know if I can go on location to deactivate my account because they wont pick up.
I cant even put in a complaint with them cause they wont pick up.
They dont even introduce themselves when they pick up very unprofessional location. Just needed to vent my frustrations somewhere, so disappointed.

I was working on one of the machines doing pulldown apparently, the rod that holds the weight was shaking. I was looking for a Planet Fitness employee so gentlemen in a white T-shirt standing behind the desk, I wave at him and ask him to come over.
He pointed to the other guy who was attending to someone and said look that guy is calling, I stopped and told him I didnt want any paper. I was calling to tell the other guy that was loose. He said I couldve come to the counter. I told him hes full of it.
He asked me why am I still talking associate ad out and tell me I have to leave , this is unacceptable and tell me that I am the one who escalated it when I asked the guy in the white T-shirt if he trains people on the machine, he said yes and I told him thats the reason why I was calling him, but he started to get very intense Then he said I need to leave because Im the one that escalated and I am the one who is a customer. I told him youre the one who works here not me Im calling you because theres an issue with your machine. This happened in planet fitness Hiram, Georgia time 7:40 PM date.
8/19/24. if this is the way you treat customers, I will no longer be a member.

Will not allow children under the age of 13 to workout...
I called to see if I could join with my daughter who is under the age of 10 but was recomended by her doctor to do some cardio activities. All I wanted was for she and I to go walk and do the stepper.
I was told they WILL NOT ALLOW ANYONE under the age of 13 to join! Now how is it that you want to cure childhood obesity but have an age limit even with an adult not leaving their side?! its a load of bs and this company will never be getting any money from me. I even asked if I could bring in a doctors note stating that she needed to workout and would never be without an adult.
Was rudely cute off and told it was a corporate policy. I'm beyond livid.
So you're telling me you want to not have overweith children but only ones that are teens? Good talk Planet Fitness.

So, it was three years ago, and there was a manager there. He would call me on my cellphone from a restricted number.
He came at me with sexual advances. He blackmailed me into going on a date with him and threatened me, saying that if I wouldn't, he would be sure to get me banned from the company, and I wouldn't be able to sign up anymore. This occurred in the summer of 2021. As he had threatened, he called me on my cellphone, this time from the company phone, screaming and cursing at me, accusing me of following women into the restroom and urinating in the trash cans in the men's restroom, among other things.
He told the other clubs. This happened at the Cherry Hill East RT 70 location. He was the manager there. I've been too embarrassed to talk about it.
I was taken aback a little because this man threatened me, telling me that he would find out where I live and where I work, get me fired from my job, and make my life very difficult. He called the Mt Laurel, NJ club, and I don't know what he told them, but they were acting the same way towards me.

I have reached out to customer services and they are no help at all i need to take action. My bank account is drained because they have been taking money for a gym membership since they closed in 2020 for covid.
I havent been to the gym and asked them to close my membership account when they first closed due to covid march 2020. So how can they take money out of my bank since march 2020 until i has my bank cancel and put a freeze on the account and it cost me 200 dollars to do that. I would like all my funds returned or i need to file a civil suit and legally get my funds returned. Please fix this issue as soon as possible.
I am really struggling and at risk of losing my apartment and car.

User's recommendation: Make sure you watch your bank accounts.they will take money even after you cancel your membership and they take more money then is agreed too and they hit you for surprise fees of over 60 dollars 3 to 4 times a year. Please be careful before you sign any agreement from this devil in sheep's clothing company. It happened to me and many other people I actually know.

After months of trying to cancel because I moved to a location where Planet Fitness is an hour's drive away, they kept charging me. At first they convinced me to just freeze it and when the freezing expired, I got charged which is normal, than I called and was told to go in which I said I cant drive an hour away so the manager told me to cancel on the app.
I went on the app and couldnt find where to cancel, than was told to go on their website. Their website wouldnt allow me to click manage accounts and I called back and the manager said he will cancel for me which he did. Than I get charged my monthly and yearly fee. The manager at my home club said he would reach out to the billing department for my refund.
After weeks of waiting, his reply was, 'I'm sorry, I don't know what to tell you. They are not getting back to me.' I've also emailed them three times, and received no response. I called another PF and she told me sorry I dont have any numbers you can call.
You have to email the billing department. But the billing department ignores emails!

One morning, I visited Planet Fitness to gather information about the gym. I was so impressed by the information provided that I signed up on the same day.
I was told to expect two Hawks tickets via email and to watch for their arrival. Additionally, I was given a detailed rundown of the amenities, a meet and greet with the trainers, and a quick photo was taken to finalize my registration. Afterward, I emailed the staff member who was supposed to send the Hawks tickets to inquire about the date of the tickets, but I never received a response. Two weeks after registering, a deduction was made from my account for an annual fee without any prior warning.
Despite multiple attempts to resolve these issues, I never received the promotional Hawks tickets, nor did I get any communication from the staff member responsible for the tickets. When I addressed the matter with the fitness center, I was treated dismissively and they seemed unaware of the promotion I was referring to.
The unexpected annual fee caused my checks to bounce, resulting in financial inconvenience, and I could not fulfill my promise to my grandchild to attend a basketball game. Given these circumstances, I am requesting a full refund of my money.

Some locations let you cancel online. Some require you send written notice and/or come in person.
I would send in written notification and send it via a trackable, signature required method. I once cancelled a PF account via Fedex, signature required. I went in person after I had proof it had been signed for and they denied I had ever sent them anything.
The person smugly claiming I never sent anything was the manager and I was able to make him look like a fool because I had proof he was the one who signed for it. As far as a complaint, you can complain to their corporate headquarters, you can file a Yelp and Google review and leave a review on their Facebook page.
