I have been trying to cancel my account with planet fitness. I was refused.

I no longer live in the area. I have been charged for 2.5 years and asked to cancel and for them to tell me that I can’t. I have to pay my last payment. So I let them know that I will change my account number.

They let me know that I can do that but I will accumulate payment and late fees still. I asked ,”For how long?” They said,”Any where from a month to a year.” I asked to speak with Someone higher than the area manager and Miguel(area manager) let me know corporate can’t do a thing. It’s up to the franchise. But Miguel did say that he could wave 10$ off my account.

I called cooperate. Gave them my number and they said someone would call me back. May 9, 2018. It’s been a week now May 16, 2018.

No one had called me back, now I have another pending payment along side with the previous pending payment.

And corporate let me know, they can email them to contact me and if planet fitness decides to return my money and that it was in the contract I signed. “Cancel at any Time” is ***
